There are days in our lives when we feel like we’re on a roll and everything is working out. But there are other days when you feel like you’re just coasting. Like you’re wasting time, like there’s so much to do but you can’t seem to get it done.
I have something to say to you (and to myself TBH): Those “useless days” matter, and they will add up to something. I first read this statement in Chude Jideonwo’s “The Daily Vulnerable.” It was said by a 40 something year old woman giving advice to a 20 something year old, and it made so much sense.
The problem with us humans is we want everything to make sense from the get go, but life just doesn’t work like that. It’s a continuous unfolding and that’s what makes it so great. Even God didn’t just create the earth in one fell swoop, he followed a process, and he didn’t have to. But what makes the story amazing is the little steps and the big steps that led to it.
So there will be days when it looks like you’re just marking time and what you’re doing is irrelevant, but it’s not. Every single breath you take is significant, every move you make is part of the fabric that makes your life magic. The useless days will add up to something.
Keep taking one day at a time and keep moving even when, especially when you don’t feel like it. You’re a winner and you will win.
Love and light,
