Jola: Good Morning Lord
God: Good morning darling, how are you?
Jola: I’m fine father. I’d like to say I’m sorry for…
God: Wait, just hold on. What are you sorry for this time? Child you really need to stop beating yourself up for failing to meeting standards I never set for you. I know you think I want you to pray for three hours, and yes I’d like to talk to you that much everyday because I love you and I love to spend time with you. What I don’t want is you feeling guilty every single morning because you didn’t pray for three hours.
Monjolaoluwa, listen close, I love you as you are.
Did that sink in yet? As you are! I’m not expecting you to be perfect because when I started this relationship with you, you didn’t even care about me. I’ve loved you since before you were born and my love is already complete. There’s nothing you can do to make me love you more or less.
All you have to do is open yourself up for more and you’ll have more. And the more of me you get, the easier it will be to spend time with me. Please stop attributing those thoughts of condemnation to me. There’s no more condemnation from my end because I’ve paid the ultimate price for you. All I have for you is love.
Child you need to sit down with my word and get it into your heart and head that I love you with reckless abandon. I’m not afraid you’ll hurt me so you need to stop being afraid. Perfect love casts out fear. I am not a man; I do not lie or cheat or say things I do not mean. I am not petty. I am the very definition of love and light.
And I don’t know why you’re so disappointed in yourself. Jola, you are a superstar! I am so proud of you, and it’s time for you to be proud of yourself. Do you have any idea of the odds you’ve faced? Yet, here you are still standing, still working, still going strong. You should be celebrating yourself because I celebrate you and so do many of the people in your life. Open your eyes and see the love and adoration around you; there’s so much of it but all you can see is disappointment because you’re disappointed.
Fix your focus baby girl, fix it quickly!
Get into my word and get lost in it. Let it define your identity and show you who you really are. Stop comparing yourself to people who aren’t on your journey. You are so special! Focus on your strengths and use mine to overshadow your weaknesses. You are extraordinary Monjolaoluwa, you really need to believe that. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you unfold.
Jola: I’m speechless Lord, thank you. I love you so much.
God: Love you more baby girl, now go out there and shine. The world is waiting for you.
